Abstract
Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) is a chronic inflammatory joint disease affecting children under 16 years of age. Its etiology remains unknown, and it clinically manifests as joint swelling, pain, and limited mobility. Fixed flexion deformity (FFD) is a common complication of JRA, which can severely impact motor function and psychological well-being, thereby reducing the quality of life. In February 2023, a 24-year-old patient with JRA accompanied by severe FFD was admitted and treated with staged bilateral total knee arthroplasty (TKA) using customized 3D-printed implants. The patient demonstrated favorable postoperative recovery. This case is reported to discuss the clinical efficacy and personalized surgical strategy.
