Clinical Experience
Dr. Gao holds a Master of Medicine degree and serves as an Attending Physician at the Beijing Medera Medical Group. He commenced his clinical practice and research focusing on joint disorders and sports medicine during his postgraduate studies at the Joint Center of Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital. Mentored by renowned orthopedic expert Professor Cai Xu, Dr. Gao has been actively engaged in researching artificial intelligence (AI) applications for the diagnosis and management of joint pathologies.
In 2023, he was appointed as Chief Resident at the Medera Orthopedic Center within Jinan International Hospital, where he managed comprehensive clinical operations, assisted in administrative leadership, and provided clinical guidance to affiliated physicians. In 2024, Dr. Gao assumed the role of Attending Physician at the Medera Orthopedic Center at Pingzhuang Mining Area General Hospital, taking on primary responsibilities for clinical practice, center management, and ongoing departmental development.

Dr. Gao specializes in the comprehensive diagnosis and management of joint disorders and sports injuries. He demonstrates advanced surgical proficiency in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and knee arthroplasty.
Research & Awards
Dr. Gao demonstrates a strong commitment to advancing orthopedic research, particularly in the integration of artificial intelligence and advanced biomaterials into clinical practice. His academic portfolio includes three first-authored publications in core medical journals, two of which are SCI-indexed. Additionally, he holds one clinically relevant patent.
Furthermore, Dr. Gao is actively engaged in several significant research initiatives. He contributed to a major 2022 scientific project funded by the China Medical Education Association, focusing on the clinical application of deep learning-based intelligent 3D MRI reconstruction for precision knee arthroplasty utilizing patient-specific instrumentation (PSI). He also participated in the National Key R&D Program, investigating the clinical efficacy of highly adaptable, customized knee prostheses driven by deep learning PSI technology. Additionally, his research extends to tissue engineering, where he investigates the precise reconstruction of articular cartilage defects using a novel self-healing lubricating gel-PEEK composite.
