Dr. Yu earned his medical degree from Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2000, and subsequently commenced his clinical practice in the Department of Orthopedics at the Armed Police Hubei Corps Hospital. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he has accumulated extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of orthopedic diseases, successfully completing over 1,000 orthopedic procedures as the primary surgeon.

To continuously advance his surgical proficiency, Dr. Yu participated in clinical exchanges and visiting fellowships at several prestigious medical centers, including the Chinese PLA General Hospital, Changzheng Hospital Affiliated to Naval Medical University, and Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital. He currently serves as an Attending Physician at the Beijing Medera Medical Group, where his clinical practice is primarily focused on joint arthroplasty and the management of sports medicine conditions.

Dr. Yu possesses extensive clinical expertise in the comprehensive management—both surgical and non-surgical—of joint disorders and sports medicine conditions. He demonstrates advanced surgical proficiency in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and the minimally invasive treatment of appendicular fractures. Furthermore, he is highly experienced in the precise diagnosis and targeted management of complex orthopedic pathologies, specifically knee osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis (AVN) of the femoral head, cervical spondylosis, and lumbar disc herniation.

Dr. Yu demonstrates a long-standing commitment to both clinical and basic research in orthopedics. His academic portfolio includes the publication of over 10 peer-reviewed articles. Furthermore, he has contributed to the compilation and translation of two medical monographs, notably serving as a co-translator for the Chinese editions of authoritative orthopedic texts such as Noyes’ Knee Disorders and Essentials of Revision Hip Arthroplasty.
